Yesterday, we joined Manong Fred in celebrating his 80th birthday. One of his sisters-in-law, Conchita, sang John Denver's Perhaps Love to him and Manang Purita, his wife. The song brought back so many memories to almost all of us who were there in the party because that was one of the most popular songs when we were still in Nigeria. I had to download it from YouTube as soon as I got home. Here is a duet from John and the young Placido Domingo.
I didn't even know they sang it together and that John wrote the song for his mom.
